An easy crochet flower pattern for adorning your knits.

yarn: Rowan Big Wool

crochet hook: size K (7.00mm)

Abbreviations:
ch = chain
beg = beginning
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dc = double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
join = join with sl st
* = repeat between *'s

INSTRUCTIONS

(do not turn work while following these instructions)
(if your flower curls too much, work the crochet sts loosely)

start: with crochet hook K, ch 6, join to beg to form a ring

round 1: *ch 3, join with sl st to center of ring* 6 times around, forming 6 chain petals

round 2: *work 3 dc, 1 sc along ring of next ch petal* 6 times around, join with sl st to beg

round 3: *ch 4, join with sl st behind and between petal intersection* 6 times around
(you just made the foundation chain for the petals behind)

round 4: along each ch 4, work *1 sc in first ch, 1 hdc in next, 1 hdc in next, 1 sc in next, join with sl st at intersection*

round 5: join contrast color, start with sl st at intersection,
*1 sc in next, 2 sc in next,  2 sc in next, 1 sc in next, 
sl st to intersection* 6 times. DONE!
