DECEMBER UPDATE -
final package
** note: laptop not included.. haha
** these cards rock!! there are all these postcards with quirky sayings and old images... i already addressed two of them, gotta get them in the mail
** and this cute kitty money purse thingy.. BUT what's inside it?!?! HELLO KITTY!!
** a handmade hello kitty with little rubber stitch markers inside!! weeee!! how awesome is that?!
** and a skein almost as big as Josie, a Fleece Artist kit to make mittens or socks, wool and mohair, great colors too!!! LOVE IT!!
** thanks BETTER PAL!! you rock!!! --------------------------------------------------------- NOVEMBER UPDATE - package number TWO ** oh yeah... i cant say anything more that describes this package but "holy sh*t"
** the yarn is alpaca, it is SO soft and great colors.. i already did a swatch but i left it in my knitting bag, which is MIA... who stole it?! no, it's here somewhere... hmmmm
** yeah thats right... DomoKun knitting needles!! both my Better Pal and I are sure that they are the only pair in existence... how did she know i love DomoKun?? hmmmm
** and the awesome Skacel needle holder bears! i also got a package of red gummy candy, but i ate them already so you cant see them ;-0
** here are the needles near my shoe collection... or should i say sneaker collection... so in review, this was a better pal gift of extraordinary feats... i mean, who the heck would make me custom knitting needles in a swap??!?!?! she rocks my knitting world... ---------------------------------------------------- ** thar she blows!!!
** first off (and you might want to take notes), i had the postal guy at the desk put stickers over the return address before bringing the box out, so i wouldn't be tempted to look... you can't send anything anonymously these days!
** and here is the
initial opening-of-the-box!
** my out-loud exclamation "no way! you didn't!" ... this Chibi in disguise is the coolest thing ever... he even has a necklace strap!! i can't wait to sport him around town...
** that lovely smell was this french lavender soap! my whole computer room now smells of it, and it's divine... i feel like i'm at a spa...
** and note the origami box?! i'm pretty sure my Better Pal made it, everything was wrapped Origami style... you're breaking my heart!!
** speaking of Origami, WTF!!! i've never seen paper so cool... after i'm done typing this post i'll be making something right away!
** being a knitter
and never using Koigu is a sin, i know, i live the life and i'll burn in
hell...
** and could you pick a better color?! she must have known i love jeans...
** now wait... just as you thought the fun was over, my tears welled up at the unwrapping of this... i've ALWAYS wanted one of these books, they aren't easy to come by... my Better Pal went through all that trouble just for me?!?! OMG!
** and here is the
stash all layed out... i'm so happy!! i had a rough week last week,
and to have this package start off this week so great, well, i can't say
enough... the timing couldn't be better and the gifts are just too good to
be true...
** oh yeah, there's also white chocolate in there! my bf won't be able to resist it ;-) |
